Information

Next October 6th - 7th, the Nordic Artistic Gymnastic Championship for boys younger than 16 will be held in Iceland at Björk gymnastic club. The best gymnasts aged 13 - 16 from all the Nordic countries will compete in the all around competition and in single apparatus finals.

The tournament will last 2 days. On Saturday the gymasts will compete in all around and, at the end of the day, the winner of the single Apparatus Finals will be crowned along with the Nordic Artistic Gymnastic Team Champions. On Sunday the gymnasts will compete in apparatus finals and we will have the Nordic Champion in Artistic Gymnastics.

The competitors come from all the Nordic countries, i.e. from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Faroe Islands and from Iceland.

It's particularly plesant to see the Faroe Islands competing, now for the first time, in the Nordic Championship.

For the Technical Regulation please refer to the technical regulation of the Nordic Championships in Artistic Gymnastics.

Age

Boys U16, MAG: Not less than 13 years of age and not more than 16 years. Gymnast have the right to participate if they reach determined age during the year of the competition.

About Björk

Björk Gymnastic Club was founded July 1st 1951 in Hafnarfjörður and have continuously trained numerous boys and girls in gymnastics.

In all we have had 15 Icelandic Champions during this time in Artistics Gymnastics.

Currently we have well over 400 practitioners training gymnastics so the future is very bright for Björk Gymastic Club.
